Dead Branch is a Rare Relic that adds a random card to your hand whenever you exhaust a card. It is very powerful when combined with Corruption, other exhaust synergies, or cards that generate Shivs, but doesn't need either to be a useful relic.

It can only generate a card that is available through the merchant and card rewards, with some exceptions. It cannot generate healing cards.

• Beta (Card effect only)
• Insight (Cards effect only)
• Miracle (Cards, relics, and potion effect only)

Trivia

• The Dead Branch references an item of the same name from the MMORPG Ragnarok Online, which would spawn a random enemy when used.

  • All sources of random temporary card generation in combat (like Dead Branch) can no longer generate cards that provide healing.
  • New tip added to indicate that healing cards cannot be generated randomly during combat.
